ब्रह्माजी की पूजा क्यों नहीं होती?
पहला कारण : पुष्कर में ब्रह्माजी को एक यज्ञ करना था और उस वक्त उनकी पत्नीं सावित्री उनके साथ नहीं थी। उनकी पत्नी सावित्री वक्त पर यज्ञ स्थल पर नहीं पहुंच पाईं। यज्ञ का समय निकल रहा था। लिहाजा ब्रह्माजी ने एक स्थानीय ग्वाल बाला गायत्री से शादी कर ली और यज्ञ में बैठ गए। जाट इतिहास अनुसार यह गायत्री देवी राजस्थान के पुष्कर की रहने वाली थी जो वेदज्ञान में पारंगत होने के कारण विख्यात थी और जाट ही थी।
सावित्री थोड़ी देर से पहुंचीं। लेकिन यज्ञ में अपनी जगह पर किसी और औरत को देखकर गुस्से से पागल हो गईं। उन्होंने ब्रह्माजी को शाप दिया कि जाओ इस पृथ्वी लोक में तुम्हारी कहीं पूजा नहीं होगी। सावित्री के इस रुप को देखकर सभी देवता लोग डर गए। उन्होंने उनसे विनती की कि अपना शाप वापस ले लीजिए। जब गुस्सा ठंडा हुआ तो सावित्री ने कहा कि इस धरती पर सिर्फ पुष्कर में आपकी पूजा होगी। कोई भी दूसरा आपका मंदिर बनाएगा तो उसका विनाश हो जाएगा।
माँ लक्ष्मी जी का स्तोत्र : अष्टलक्ष्मी स्तोत्रं
ब्रह्माजी ने पुष्कर झील किनारे कार्तिक शुक्ल एकादशी से पूर्णमासी तक यज्ञ किया था, जिसकी स्मृति में अनादि काल से यहां कार्तिक मेला लगता आ रहा है। यहां विश्व में ब्रह्माजी का एकमात्र प्राचीन मंदिर है। मंदिर के पीछे रत्नागिरि पहाड़ पर जमीन तल से दो हजार तीन सौ 69 फुट की ऊंचाई पर ब्रह्माजी की प्रथम पत्नी सावित्री का मंदिर है। झील की उत्पत्ति के बारे में किंवदंती है कि ब्रह्माजी के हाथ से यहीं पर कमल पुष्प गिरने से जल प्रस्फुटित हुआ जिससे इस झील का उद्भव हुआ। राजस्थान में अजमेर शहर से 14 किलोमीटर दूर पुष्कर झील है। पुष्कर के उद्भव का वर्णन पद्मपुराण में मिलता है।
दूसरा कारण : प्रमुख देवता होने पर भी इनकी पूजा बहुत कम होती है। दूसरा कारण यह की ब्रह्मांड की थाह लेने के लिए जब भगवान शिव ने विष्णु और ब्रह्मा को भेजा तो ब्रह्मा ने वापस लौटकर शिव से असत्य वचन कहा था।

तीसरा कारण : जगत पिता ब्रह्माजी की काया कांतिमय और मनमोहक थी। उनके मनमोहक रूप को देखकर स्वर्ग अप्सरा मोहिनी नाम कामासक्त हो गई और वह समाधि में लीन ब्रह्माजी के समीप ही आसन लगाकर बैठ गई। जब ब्रह्माजी की तांद्रा टूटी तो उन्होंने मोहिनी से पूछा, देवी! आप स्वर्ग का त्याग कर मेरे समीप क्यों बैठी हैं?
मोहिनी ने कहा, 'हे ब्रह्मदेव! मेरा तन और मन आपके प्रति प्रेममत्त हो रहा है। कृपया आप मेरा प्रेम स्वीकार करें।'
ब्रह्मजी मोहिनी के कामभाव को दूर करने के लिए उसे नीतिपूर्ण ज्ञान देने लगे लेकिन मोहिनी ब्रह्माजी को अपनी ओर असक्त करने के लिए कामुक अदाओं से रिझाने लगी। ब्रह्माजी उसके मोहपाश से बचने के लिए अपने इष्ट श्रीहरि को याद करने लगे।
मन को मोह लेने वाला भजन: जय शम्भु जय जय शम्भू
उसी समय सप्तऋषियों का ब्रह्मलोक में आगमन हुआ। सप्तऋषियों ने ब्रह्माजी के समीप मोहिनी को देखकर उन से पूछा, यह रूपवति अप्सरा आप के साथ क्यों बैठी है? ब्रह्मा जी बोले, 'यह अप्सरा नृत्य करते-करते थक गई थी विश्राम करने के लिए पुत्री भाव से मेरे समीप बैठी है।'
सप्तऋषियों ने अपने योग बल से ब्रह्माजी की मिथ्या भाषा को जान लिया और मुस्कुरा कर वहां से प्रस्थान कर गए। ब्रह्माजी के अपने प्रति ऐसे वचन सुनकर मोहिनी को बहुत गुस्सा आया। मोहिनी बोली, मैं आपसे अपनी काम इच्छाओं की पूर्ति चाहती थी और आपने मुझे पुत्री का दर्जा दिया। अपने मन पर संयम होने का बड़ा घमंड है आपको तभी आपने मेरे प्रेम को ठुकराया। यदि मैं सच्चे हृदय से आपसे प्रेम करती हूं तो जगत में आपको पूजा नहीं जाएगा।
Why is Brahma not worshiped?
First reason: Brahmaji had to perform a Yajna in Pushkar and at that time his wife Savitri was not with him. His wife Savitri could not reach the place of Yagya on time. The time for Yagya was passing. So Brahma married Gayatri, a local cowherd boy, and sat in the yagya. According to Jat history, this Gayatri Devi was a resident of Pushkar in Rajasthan, who was famous for being well versed in Vedas and was a Jat only.
Savitri arrived a little late. But seeing another woman in her place in the Yajna, she became mad with anger. He cursed Brahmaji that go, you will not be worshiped anywhere in this world. Seeing this form of Savitri, all the deities got scared. They requested him to take back his curse. When the anger cooled down, Savitri said that you will be worshiped only in Pushkar on this earth. If anyone else builds your temple, it will be destroyed.

Brahma ji had performed Yagya from Kartik Shukla Ekadashi to Purnmasi on the banks of Pushkar lake, in whose memory Kartik fair has been held here since time immemorial. Here is the only ancient temple of Brahmaji in the world. Behind the temple is the temple of Savitri, the first wife of Brahmaji, at a height of two thousand three hundred and 69 feet from the ground level on the Ratnagiri mountain. The legend about the origin of the lake is that a lotus flower fell here from the hand of Lord Brahma and water sprang up, giving rise to this lake. Pushkar Lake is 14 km away from Ajmer city in Rajasthan. The description of the origin of Pushkar is found in the Padmapurana.
Second reason: Despite being the main deity, they are worshiped very little. The second reason is that when Lord Shiva sent Vishnu and Brahma to fathom the universe, Brahma returned and said untrue words to Shiva.

Third reason: The body of Jagat Pita Brahmaji was radiant and attractive. Seeing his attractive form, the celestial nymph named Mohini became sexually attracted and she sat down near Brahmaji absorbed in samadhi. When Brahma ji's tandra was broken, he asked Mohini, Devi! Why are you sitting near me leaving heaven?
Mohini said, 'O Brahmadev! My body and mind are falling in love with you. Please accept my love.'
Brahmaji started giving ethical knowledge to Mohini to remove her lust, but Mohini started wooing Brahmaji with sensual acts to make him attached to her. Brahmaji started remembering his favorite Shri Hari to avoid his temptation.

At the same time the Saptarishis arrived in Brahmalok. Seeing Mohini near Brahmaji, the seven sages asked him, why is this beautiful Apsara sitting with you? Brahma ji said, 'This Apsara was tired of dancing, she is sitting near me with the feeling of a daughter to rest.'
The Saptarishis understood the false language of Brahmaji with their yogic power and left from there smiling. Mohini got very angry after hearing such words of Brahmaji towards her. Mohini said, I wanted the fulfillment of my work desires from you and you gave me the status of a daughter. You are very proud of having control over your mind, that's why you rejected my love. If I love you with a true heart, then you will not be worshiped in the world.
