ब्रह्मा ने श्री कृष्णा की परीक्षा क्यों ली
यह कहानी श्री कृष्ण के बचपन की है। उस समय ब्रह्मा जी को पता चला कि भगवान विष्णु स्वयं श्री कृष्ण के रूप में पृथ्वी पर अवतरित हुए हैं, तो उनके मन में श्री कृष्ण के दर्शन करने का विचार आया। वह ब्रह्मलोक से पृथ्वी पर आए और देखा कि अपने सिर पर मोर मुकुट को धारण किए एक बालक गायों और ग्वालों के साथ मिट्टी में खेल रहा है।
यह दृश्य देखकर ब्रह्मा जी को विश्वास नहीं हुआ कि यह बालक विष्णु जी का अवतार है, लेकिन बच्चे के चेहरे पर अतुल्य तेज था। यह देखकर ब्रह्मा जी ने श्री कृष्ण की परीक्षा लेने का विचार किया।

उन्होंने सबसे पहले गायों को वहां से उठा लिया। फिर जब श्री कृष्ण गायों को देखने के लिए गए, तो उन्होंने वहां खेल रहे ग्वालों को भी उठा लिया और अपने साथ ब्रह्मलोक ले गए। जब इसके कुछ देर बाद वह पृथ्वी पर वापस आए, तो वहां का माहौल देखकर चौंक गए, क्योंकि जिन बच्चों और गायों को वे अपने साथ ब्रह्मलोक ले गए थे, वो तो श्री कृष्ण के साथ पृथ्वी पर खेल रहे थे। यह देखकर उन्होंने ध्यान लगाकर ब्रह्मलोक की स्थिति जाननी चाहिए। उन्होंने दिव्य दृष्टि से देखा कि सभी बालक और गायें ब्रह्मलोक में ही हैं।
यह सब देखकर उन्हें श्री कृष्ण की लीला समझ आ गई और उन्होंने हाथ जोड़कर उनसे क्षमा मांगी। साथ ही प्रार्थना की कि प्रभु मुझे अपने असली रूप के दर्शन दें। तब श्री कृष्ण ने ब्रह्मा जी को अपना विराट रूप दिखाया। श्री कृष्ण के उस रूप के दर्शन करने के लिए कई और ब्रह्मा भी वहां पर आए गए। उन ब्रह्मा में कुछ तीन सिर के, कुछ चार सिर के तो कुछ सौ सिर के थे।

अपने अलावा अन्य ब्रह्मा को देखकर ब्रह्मदेव ने श्री कृष्ण के विराट रूप से पूछा कि प्रभु यह कैसी लीला है आपकी। इस पर उन्होंने कहा कि हे ब्रह्मदेव इस जगत में केवल आप ही एक ब्रह्मा नहीं हैं। जगत में कई सारे ब्रह्मांड हैं, जहां पर कई सारे ब्रह्मदेव मौजूद हैं और प्रत्येक का अपना-अपना कार्य है। यह सुनकर ब्रह्मदेव ने उन्हें शीश झुकाकर नमस्कार किया।
Why did Brahma test Shri Krishna
This story is from Shri Krishna's childhood. At that time Brahma ji came to know that Lord Vishnu himself has incarnated on the earth in the form of Shri Krishna, so he got the idea of having darshan of Shri Krishna. He came down to earth from Brahmaloka and saw a boy with a peacock crown on his head playing in the mud with cows and cowherd boys.
Seeing this scene, Brahma ji did not believe that this child is the incarnation of Vishnu ji, but the child's face was incredibly bright. Seeing this, Brahma ji thought of testing Shri Krishna.

He first picked up the cows from there. Then when Shri Krishna went to see the cows, he picked up the cowherd boys playing there and took them with him to Brahmaloka. When he came back to earth after some time, he was shocked to see the atmosphere there, because the children and cows he had taken with him to Brahmaloka were playing on earth with Shri Krishna. Seeing this, he should know the condition of Brahmalok by meditating. He saw with divine vision that all the children and cows were in Brahmaloka only.
Seeing all this, he understood the leela of Shri Krishna and he apologized to him with folded hands. Also prayed that the Lord should give me darshan of his real form. Then Shri Krishna showed his great form to Brahma. Many other Brahma also came there to see that form of Shri Krishna. In that Brahma, some had three heads, some had four heads and some had hundred heads.

Seeing Brahma other than himself, Brahmadev asked the great form of Shri Krishna that Lord, what kind of pastime is this of yours. On this he said that O Lord Brahma, you are not the only Brahma in this world. There are many universes in the world, where many Brahmadevs are present and each has its own function. Hearing this, Brahmadev bowed his head and greeted him.
