कैसे हुआ था भगवान ब्रह्मा का जन्म?
माना जाता है कि सृष्टि के रचयिता ब्रह्मा जी की उत्पत्ति नाभि से हुई थी। जी हां, सृष्टि के रचयिता ब्रह्मा जी की उत्पत्ति भगवान विष्णु की नाभि से निकले कमल के द्वारा हुई थी। जब इनकी उत्पत्ति हुई को उन्होंने चारों ओर देखा जिसकी वजह से उनके चार मुख हो गए।
उनका नाम ब्रह्मा क्यों पड़ा?
भारतीय दर्शन शास्त्र में ब्रह्मा जी का नाम के पीछे निर्गुण निराकार और सर्वव्यापी चेतन शक्ति के लिए ‘ब्रह्मा’ शब्द का प्रयोग बताया गया है। सभी गुणों से पूर्ण होने के कारण उन्हें ब्रह्मा नाम से पुकारा जाता है। ब्रह्मा जी सवारी हंस है इसलिए उन्हें हंस नाम से भी पुकारा जाता है।
शिवपुराण के अनुसार ब्रह्माजी अपने पुत्र नारदजी से कहते हैं कि विष्णु को उत्पन्न करने के बाद सदाशिव और शक्ति ने पूर्ववत प्रयत्न करके मुझे (ब्रह्माजी को) अपने दाहिने अंग से उत्पन्न किया और तुरंत ही मुझे विष्णु के नाभि कमल में डाल दिया। इस प्रकार उस कमल से पुत्र के रूप में मुझ हिरण्यगर्भ (ब्रह्मा) का जन्म हुआ।

कौन है भगवान ब्रह्मा का पुत्र?
भक्तों में हमेशा से उत्सुकता रही है कि मनु भारतीय इतिहास में कौन थे? लोककथाओं में बताया गया है कि भगवान ब्रह्मा द्वारा बनाए गए पहले व्यक्ति का नाम मनु था जो भगवान ब्रह्मा की पहली रचना की लिस्ट में आता है। हिंदू पौराणिक कथाओं के मुताबिक मनु को भगवान ब्रह्मा के सबसे बड़े पुत्र के रूप में चित्रित किया गया है।
