कौन हैं वो सप्तऋषि?
हिन्दू धर्म में ऋषि-मुनियों को पूजनीय माना गया है। धर्म शास्त्रों और ग्रंथों में कई ऐसे दिव्य और तपस्वी ऋषियों का नाम वर्णित है जिन्होंने अपने तप और कर्म से समाज का उद्धार किया है। इन्हीं में शामिल हैं वो सप्तऋषि जिनके बिना ज्योतिष शास्त्र की रचना और उससे जुड़ी सभी गणनाएं संभव ही नहीं।

सप्तर्षियों की उत्पत्ति
विष्णु पुराण समेत सभी ग्रंथों में सप्त ऋषियों का उल्लेख मिलता है। पुराणों के अनुसार, सप्तर्षियों का जन्म ब्रह्मा जी के मस्तिष्क से हुआ था और शिव जी ने गुरु का दायित्व संभालते हुए इन सप्तऋषियों को शिक्षा और ज्ञान प्रदान किया था।

सप्तऋषियों का ज्योतिष में महत्व
पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार, सप्तर्षियों की उत्पत्ति सृष्टि में संतुलन बनाए रखने के लिए हुई थी। संसार में कर्म, धर्म, मर्यादा आदि सभी गुणों के प्रचार-प्रसार एवं उसके विस्तार के लिए सप्तऋषियों को नियुक्त किया गया था।
सप्तऋषि अपने प्रभाव से सृष्टि में शांति और सुख की स्थापना करते हैं। सप्तऋषि ग्रहों को भी नियंत्रित रखते हैं। अगर किसी ग्रह या नक्षत्र का प्रभाव व्यक्ति के कर्म के फल से अधिक उसे मिल रहा है फी चाहे वो शुभता के रूप में हो या अशुभता के रूप में सप्तऋषि उसे नियंत्रित करते हैं।
तारा मंडल में सप्त ऋषि 7 तारों के रूप में स्थापित हैं और ध्रुव तारे की परिक्रमा लगाते हैं। फाल्गुन-चैत्र माह से लेकर श्रावण-भाद्र माह तक इन सप्तऋषियों के दर्शन सरलता से संभव हैं।
