इसे सिद्धिविनायकी क्यों कहा जाता है :

मंदिर वास्तुकला
मंदिर के बारे में कहा जाता है कि सिद्धिविनायक मंदिर की मूल संरचना पहले काफी छोटी थी। साथ ही, मंदिर की प्रारंभिक संरचना केवल ईंटों से बनी थी, जिसमें गुंबद के आकार का शिखर भी था। बाद में इस मंदिर का पुनर्निर्माण किया गया और आकार में वृद्धि की गई।
इतिहास
सिद्धिविनायक मंदिर का निर्माण वर्ष 1801 ई. में लक्ष्मण विथु नामक व्यक्ति ने करवाया था। इस मंदिर के निर्माण के लिए देउबाई पाटिल नाम की एक अमीर, निःसंतान महिला ने इस विश्वास के साथ वित्त पोषित किया था कि भगवान गणेश उन अन्य महिलाओं की इच्छाओं को पूरा करेंगे, जिनके अभी तक कोई संतान नहीं हुआ है। प्राचीन मंदिर एक छोटी संरचना थी। जिसमें श्री सिद्धिविनायक की काले पत्थर की मूर्ति थी, जो ढाई फुट चौड़ी थी।
