महाभारत की कहानी: चक्रव्यूह में अभिमन्यु का वध
कुरुक्षेत्र में कौरवों और पांडवों के बीच 18 दिन तक घमासान युद्ध चला था। एक ओर धर्म के लिए लड़ने वाले पांडव थे, तो दूसरी ओर छल कपट और धोखा देने में माहिर कौरव। उन्होंने छल से युद्ध जीतने के लिए एक रणनीति बनाई। उनकी योजना थी कि वो अर्जुन को युद्ध में उलझाकर चारों भाइयों से दूर ले जाएंगे और फिर युधिष्ठिर को बंदी बनाकर युद्ध जीत लेंगे।
अब युद्ध वाले दिन कौरव सेना की एक टुकड़ी अर्जुन से युद्ध करते हुए उन्हें रणभूमि से दूर ले गई। वहीं, गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने युधिष्ठिर को बंदी बनाने के लिए चक्रव्यूह की रचना की, जबकि पांडवों में सिर्फ अर्जुन को पता था कि चक्रव्यूह को कैसे तोड़ना है।

अर्जुन के दूर जाते ही गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने पांडवों को ललकारते हुए कहा कि या तो युद्ध लड़ो या फिर हार मान लो। युद्ध के नियम के अनुसार युद्ध लड़ना जरूरी था। यदि युद्ध न करते तो भी हार जाते और युद्ध करते तो भी हार निश्चित थी। अब धर्मराज युधिष्ठिर को कुछ सूझ नहीं रहा था कि क्या करें और क्या न करें।
उसी समय धर्मराज युधिष्ठिर के सामने एक युवक खड़ा हुआ और कहा, “काकाश्री, मुझे चक्रव्यूह को तोड़ने और युद्ध करने का आशीर्वाद दीजिए।” यह युवक कोई और नहीं, बल्कि अर्जुन का पुत्र अभिमन्यु था। अभिमन्यु अभी मात्र 16 वर्ष का ही था, लेकिन सभी जानते थे कि वह युद्ध कौशल में अपने पिता के जैसा ही निपुण है। युधिष्ठिर ने अभिमन्यु को मना किया, लेकिन अभिमन्यु नहीं माना और उसने कहा, “मुझे चक्रव्यूह तोड़ना आता है। जब मैं अपनी मां के गर्भ में था, तो पिता ने मां को चक्रव्यूह तोड़ने का तरीका बताया था। बस तभी मैंने इसे सीख लिया था। मैं आगे रहूंगा और आप सब मेरे पीछे-पीछे आइए।”

हार मानकर युधिष्ठिर ने अभिमन्यु की बात मान ली और सभी युद्ध के लिए तैयार हो गए। सबसे आगे अभिमन्यु था और बाकी सब उसके पीछे। अभिमन्यु को रणक्षेत्र में देखकर कौरव मजाक उड़ाने लगे कि यह छोटा बालक क्या युद्ध करेगा, लेकिन जब उन्होंने अभिमन्यु के युद्ध कौशल को देखा, तो उनके पसीने छूट गए। आगे बढ़ते हुए अभिमन्यु ने दुर्योधन के पुत्र लक्ष्मण काे मार गिराया और चक्रव्यूह में प्रवेश कर गया। उसके चक्रव्यूह में प्रवेश करते ही सिंधू के राजा जयद्रथ ने चक्रव्यूह का द्वार बंद कर दिया, ताकि चारों भाई चक्रव्यूह में प्रवेश न कर पाएं।
अभिमन्यु आगे बढ़ता जा रहा था। उसने एक-एक करके सभी योद्धाओं काे हरा दिया, जिनमें स्वयं दुर्योधन, कर्ण और गुरु द्रोण भी शामिल थे। किसी को कोई उपाय समझ नहीं आ रहा था, तभी कौरवों के सभी महारथियों ने एकसाथ मिलकर अभिमन्यु पर हमला कर दिया।

किसी ने उसका धनुष तोड़ दिया, तो किसी ने रथ। इसके बावजूद अभिमन्यु नहीं रुका। उसने रथ का पहिया उठाकर युद्ध करना शुरू कर दिया। बडे़-बड़े महारथियों के साथ वीर अभिमन्यु अकेला लड़ता रहा, लेकिन वह अकेला कब तक लड़ता। अंत में सभी ने मिलकर उसकी हत्या कर दी और अभिमन्यु वीर गति को प्राप्त हुआ। अभिमन्यु की मृत्यु के बाद अर्जुन ने प्रतिज्ञा ली कि वह अगले दिन युद्ध में जयद्रथ का वध कर देगा। आज शूरवीर अभिमन्यु का नाम कर्ण और अर्जुन से भी पहले सम्मान के साथ लिया जाता है।

This young man was none other than Abhimanyu, the son of Arjuna. Abhimanyu was just 16 years old, but everyone knew that he was as skilled in fighting skills as his father. Yudhishthira forbade Abhimanyu, but Abhimanyu did not agree and said, “I know how to break the Chakravyuh. When I was in my mother's womb, my father told my mother how to break the chakravyuh. That's when I learned it. I will be in front and you all follow me.

Accepting defeat, Yudhishthira agreed to Abhimanyu and everyone got ready for war. Abhimanyu was at the front and everyone else followed him. Seeing Abhimanyu in the battlefield, the Kauravas started mocking that this little boy would fight, but when they saw Abhimanyu's fighting skills, So he lost his sweat. Moving forward, Abhimanyu killed Duryodhana's son Lakshmana and entered the Chakravyuh. As soon as he entered the Chakravyuh, King Jayadrath of Indus closed the door of the Chakravyuh, so that the four brothers could not enter the Chakravyuh.
Abhimanyu kept moving forward. He defeated all the warriors one by one, including Duryodhana himself, Karna and Guru Drona. No one was able to understand any solution, that's why all the warriors of Kauravas together attacked Abhimanyu.
