सत्यव्रत और स्वर्गलोक का रहस्य: नारियल का पेड़
प्राचीन काल में सत्यव्रत नाम के एक राजा राज करते थे। वह प्रतिदिन पूजा-पाठ किया करते थे। उनके पास किसी भी चीज की कमी नहीं थी। वह धन दौलत से लेकर हर प्रकार की सुविधा से समृद्ध थे। हालांकि, इसके बावजूद भी राजा की एक अभिलाषा थी, जिसे वह पूर्ण की चाह रखते थे। दरअसल, राजा सत्यव्रत को किसी प्रकार से स्वर्गलोक जाने की इच्छा थी। वह अपने जीवन में कम से कम एक बार स्वर्गलोक के सौंदर्य को देखना चाहते थे, लेकिन उन्हें इसका मार्ग नहीं पता था।
इधर, दूसरी तरफ ऋषि विश्वामित्र अपनी तपस्या के लिए घर से बाहर निकले। चलते-चलते वह अपनी कुटिया से काफी आगे चले गए थे। काफी समय बीत गया लेकिन वह नहीं लौटे। इस कारण उनका परिवार भूख और प्यास से तड़प रहा था। राजा सत्यव्रत को जब यह पता चला तो उन्हें ने ऋषि विश्वामित्र के परिवार के पालन पोषण की जिम्मेदारी ले ली।

कुछ समय बाद जब मुनिवर लौटे तो वे अपने परिवार को कुशल देख काफी प्रसन्न हुए। उन्होंने पूछा कि उनकी अनुपस्थिति में किसने उनकी देखभाल की? इसपर ऋषि के परिवार वालों ने बताया कि राजा ने उनके पालन पोषण की जिम्मेदारी उठाई थी। यह सुनकर ऋषि विश्वामित्र तुरंत राजमहल पहुंचे और राजा से मुलाकात की।
वहां पहुंचकर उन्होंने सबसे पहले महाराज को धन्यवाद कहा। इस पर राजा ने ऋषि अपनी इच्छा पूर्ण होने का आशीर्वाद मांगा। राजा की बात सुनकर ऋषि विश्वामित्र ने कहा, “बोलिए महराज आपको क्या वरदान चाहिए।” तब महाराज ने कहा, “हे मुनि! मुझे एक बार स्वर्गलोक के दर्शन करने हैं। कृपया करके मुझे वहां जाने का वरदान दें।”

राजा की प्रार्थना सुनकर ऋषि विश्वामित्र ने एक ऐसा रास्ता बनाया जो स्वर्गलोक की ओर जाता था। यह देख राजा सत्यव्रत बहुत खुश हुए। वह तुरंत उस रास्ते पर चल पड़े और स्वर्गलोक पहुंच गए। यहां पहुंचते ही इंद्र देव ने उन्हें नीचे धक्का दे दिया, जिसके कारण वो सीधे धरती पर जा गिरे। राजा ने सत्यव्रत ने तुरंत सारी घटना ऋषि विश्वामित्र बताई।
राज की बात सुनकर ऋषि विश्वामित्र गुस्से से आग बबूला हो उठे। उन्होंने तुरंत सभी देवताओं से इस बारे में बात की और इस समस्या का हल निकाला। जिसके बाद राजा के लिए एक नया स्वर्गलोक बनाया गया। नए स्वर्गलोक को पृथ्वी और देवताओं के स्वर्गलोक के बीचो बीच स्थापित किया गया था, ताकि किसी को परेशानी न हो।

नए स्वर्ग लोक से राजा सत्यव्रत तो बहुत खुश हुए लेकिन विश्वामित्र को एक चिंता लगातार सता रही थी। उन्हें डर था कि नया स्वर्गलोक कहीं जोरदार हवा के कारण गिर न पड़े। अगर ऐसा होगा तो राजा सत्यव्रत दोबारा से धरती पर जा गिरेंगे। काफी सोच विचार के बाद ऋषि विश्वामित्र को एक उपाय सूझा। उन्होंने नए स्वर्ग लोक के नीचे एक बहुत लंबा खंभा लगा दिया, ताकि उसे सहारा मिल सके।
ऐसी मान्यता है कि नए स्वर्ग लोक के नीचे लगाया गया खंभा एक विशाल पेड़ के तने के रूप में बदल गया। यही नहीं, कुछ समय पश्चात जब राजा सत्यव्रत की मृत्यु हुई तो उनका सिर एक फल में तब्दील हो गया। सभी से इस खंभे को नारियल का पेड़ कहा जाने लगा। जबकि राजा का सिर नारियल के रूप में जाना गया। यही कारण है कि नारियल का पेड़ इतना लंबा होता है।

After listening to the king, sage Vishwamitra said, "Tell me, sir, what boon do you want?" Then Maharaj said, “O sage! I want to visit heaven once. Please give me a boon to go there.

Hearing the prayer of the king, sage Vishwamitra made a path that led to heaven. King Satyavrat was very happy to see this. He immediately started on that path and reached heaven. As soon as he reached here, Indra Dev pushed him down, due to which he fell directly on the earth. King Satyavrat immediately told the whole incident to sage Vishwamitra.
Sage Vishwamitra got furious after listening to Raj's words. He immediately talked to all the gods about this and found a solution to this problem. After which a new heaven was created for the king. The new heaven was established between the earth and the heaven of the gods, so that no one would be troubled.

King Satyavrat was very happy with the new heaven, but Vishwamitra was constantly worried about one concern. They were afraid that the new heaven might collapse due to the strong wind. They put a very tall pillar under the new heaven, so that it could be supported.
It is believed that the pillar placed under the new heaven turned into the trunk of a huge tree. Not only this, when King Satyavrat died after some time, his head turned into a fruit. Everyone started calling this pole the coconut tree. While the king's head became known as a coconut. This is the reason why the coconut tree is so tall.
