श्री कृष्ण की बाल लीला
भगवान श्री कृष्ण बचपन में बहुत शरारती थे। कभी गोपियों की मटकी फाेड़ दिया करते थे, तो कभी बछड़ों को गायों का पूरा दूध पिला देते थे। गोकुल की गोपियां चाहकर भी प्यारे-से श्री कृष्ण को डांट नहीं पाती थीं, क्योंकि वो इतने नटखट थे कि उनकी शरारतों को देखकर उन्हें दुलारने का मन करता था। कान्हा की ऐसी ही लीलाओं में से माखन चारी की थी।
यह तो सभी का मालूम है कन्हैया को मक्खन कितना पसंद था। माता यशोदा कृष्ण को जो मक्खन देती थीं, उससे उनका मन नहीं भरता था। इसलिए, मैया जहां भी मक्खन रखती कृष्ण चुपके से गांव के बच्चों के साथ आकर सारा मक्खन खा जाते थे।

ऐसा कई दिनों तक चलता रहा। जब मैया को कुछ समझ नहीं आया कि माखन कौन चुरा रहा है, तो उन्होंने एक दिन चुपके से मक्खन से भरे छोटे-छोटे घड़ों को रस्सी के सहारे ऊपर टांग दिया, लेकिन श्री कृष्ण की नजरों से क्या छुप सकता है, उन्हाेंने माता को मक्खन रखते हुए देख लिया।
अब समस्या यह थी कि मक्खन तक कैसे पहुंचा जाए। काफी सोचने के बाद उन्होंने सभी दोस्तों को इकट्ठा किया और बोले की सभी एक घेरा बनाओ और उसके ऊपर चढ़कर मक्खन निकाला जाएगा। इस तरह से वह उनके सारे दोस्त पूरा माखन चट कर गए।
इसके बाद मैया ने सोचा कि आज तो मैं पता करके ही रहूंगी कि आखिर मक्खन को कौन चुराकर ले जाता है। मक्खन को मटकी में रखकर ऊपर टांग दिया और छुपकर देखने लगीं। कुछ ही देर में कान्हा अपने दोस्तों के साथ वहां पहुंच गए। यह देखकर मैया को पूरी बात समझ में आ गई और जब सभी माखन चुराने लगे, तो तभी माता यशोदा पहुंच गईं। माता को देखते ही सभी बच्चे वहां से भाग गए, लेकिन श्री कृष्ण मटकी की रस्सी पकड़ कर झूल रहे थे।
माता ने आकर उन्हें नीचे उतारा और प्यार से डांटते हुए कहा कि अच्छा तो तुम हो वो माखन चोर, जिसने मुझे बहुत परेशान किया है। कृष्ण माता को देखकर हंसने लगे और बोले “मैया मैं नहीं माखन खायो।” इस पर माता बोली कि अपनी मैया से ही छूठ बोलते हो कृष्णा।

कन्हैया की भोली-सी सूरत देखकर और उसकी प्यारी-सी बात सुकर माता ने कृष्ण को अपने गले लगा लिया और बोलने लगीं मेरा प्यारा नटखट माखन चोर। बस तभी से श्री कृष्ण को प्यार से माखन चोर कहकर बुलाया जाने लगा।

It is known to all that how much Kanhaiya loved butter. The butter that mother Yashoda used to give to Krishna did not satisfy his heart. Therefore, wherever mother kept butter, Krishna used to secretly come and eat all the butter with the children of the village.

This went on for several days. When the mother did not understand who was stealing the butter, one day she secretly hung small pots full of butter on the top with the help of a rope, but what could be hidden from the eyes of Shri Krishna, he gave butter to the mother. Saw while keeping.
Now the problem was how to reach the butter. After thinking a lot, he gathered all the friends and said that everyone should make a circle and butter would be taken out by climbing on top of it. In this way all his friends licked all the butter.
After this mother thought that today I will keep on finding out who steals the butter. Putting butter in a pot, hung it up and started watching secretly.
Kanha reached there with his friends in no time. Seeing this, mother understood the whole thing and when everyone started stealing butter, only then mother Yashoda reached. All the children ran away from there on seeing the mother, but Shri Krishna was swinging by holding the rope of the pot.
Mother came and brought him down and scolding him lovingly said that it is good that you are the butter thief who has troubled me a lot. Seeing the mother, Krishna started laughing and said, "Mother, don't eat butter." On this the mother said that Krishna, you lie to your mother only.

Seeing the innocent face of Kanhaiya and listening to his sweet words, the mother hugged Krishna and started saying, "My dear naughty butter thief." Since then Shri Krishna was fondly called as Makhan Chor.
