क्या गुरु दक्षिणा दी श्री कृष्ण ने अपने गुरु को ?
श्री कृष्ण और बलराम ने कंस वध के बाद अपने माता-पिता देवकी और वासुदेव को रिहा करवाया और राज्य नाना उग्रसेन को सौंप दिया. वसुदेव जी ने कृष्ण और बलराम को शिक्षा प्राप्ति के लिए ऋषि सांदीपनि के आश्रम उज्जैन में दे भेज दिया . वही पर उनकी मित्रता सुदामा से हुई थी .
उन्होंने दोनों को वेद पुराण की शिक्षा के साथ-साथ धनुर्विद्या ,राजनीतिक शास्त्र, गणित शास्त्र आदि की विद्या दी. श्रीकृष्ण की स्मरण शक्ति इतनी तेज थी .माना जाता है कि उन्होंने 64 दिन सांदीपनि ऋषि के आश्रम में रह कर 64 दिनों में 64 विद्याएँ और 16 कलाएं सीख ली थी.

गुरु दक्षिणा का समय आया तो दोनों ने गुरु से गुरु दक्षिणा मांगने को कहा तो ऋषि संदीपनी और उनकी पत्नी ने श्री कृष्ण और बलराम को गुरु दक्षिणा में उनके पुत्र को वापस लाने के लिए कहा जो कि समुद्र की लहरों में डूब चुका था .
अपने गुरु की आज्ञा का पालन करने के लिए दोनों कृष्ण और बलराम प्रभास क्षेत्र में गए और समुद्र से लहरों में डूब चुके उनके पुत्र को वापस करने के लिए कहा. समुद्र में ने श्रीकृष्ण को बताया कि दैत्य शंखासुर समुद्र में छिपा है .मुझे लगता है कि आपके गुरु का पुत्र उसके पास है. भगवान कृष्ण और बलराम ने समुद्र में जाकर शंखासुर को मारकर उसके पेट में गुरु के पुत्र को खोजा लेकिन वह नहीं मिला.

शंखासुर के शरीर से शंख बाहर निकला जिसे पांचजन्य शंख कहा जाता है .शंखाचूर के शरीर का शंख लेकर कृष्ण बलराम यमराज के पास पहुंचे .
यमलोक में जाकर उन्होंने शंख बजाया. यमराज ने उनसे पूछा मैं आपके लिए क्या कर सकता हूं. श्रीकृष्ण कहने लगे ,"मेरे गुरु के पुत्र को उसके पूर्व जन्म के पापों के कारण यहां लाया गया है , अब तुम उसे मुझे सौंप दो ".यह सुनकर यमराज ने श्री कृष्ण को ऋषि संदीपनी के पुत्र को सौंप दिया.
श्याम की बंशी की धुन: उड़ गई रे नींदिया मेरी, बंसी श्याम ने बजाई रे
श्री कृष्ण और बलराम अपने गुरु के पास पहुंचे और गुरु दक्षिणा के रूप में उनके पुत्र को सौंप दिया. दोनों ने गुरु से पूछा कि आपको गुरु दक्षिणा में और क्या चाहिए तो गुरु ने उन्हें आशीर्वाद दिया और कहा कि तुम दोनों ने शिष्य के कर्तव्य को अच्छी तरह से निभाया है .
सारी सृष्टि में तुम्हारा यश होगा और ऋषि संदीपनी ने श्री कृष्ण को जगतगुरु की उपाधि दी.
Did Shri Krishna give Guru Dakshina to his Guru?
Shri Krishna and Balram got their parents Devaki and Vasudev released after killing Kansa and handed over the kingdom to Nana Ugrasen. Vasudev ji sent Krishna and Balram to sage Sandipani's ashram in Ujjain for getting education. It was there that he befriended Sudama.
Along with the education of Ved Purana, he gave them the knowledge of archery, political science, mathematics etc. Shri Krishna's memory power was so sharp. It is believed that he had learned 64 Vidyas and 16 arts in 64 days by staying in Sandipani Rishi's ashram.

When the time came for Guru Dakshina, both of them asked Guru to ask for Guru Dakshina, then Rishi Sandipani and his wife asked Shri Krishna and Balram to bring back their son who had drowned in the waves of the sea in Guru Dakshina.
To obey their guru's orders, both Krishna and Balarama went to the Prabhasa region and asked the sea to bring back their son who had drowned in the waves. In the sea told Shri Krishna that the demon Shankhasur is hiding in the sea. I think your teacher's son is with him. Lord Krishna and Balarama went to the sea and killed Shankhasur and searched for the Guru's son in his stomach but could not find him.

A conch came out from Shankhasura's body, which is called Panchajanya conch. Taking the conch of Shankhachur's body, Krishna Balram reached Yamraj.
He went to Yamlok and blew the conch. Yamraj asked him what can I do for you. Shri Krishna started saying, "My teacher's son has been brought here because of the sins of his previous birth, now you hand him over to me". Hearing this, Yamraj handed over Shri Krishna to the son of Rishi Sandipani.

Shri Krishna and Balram reached their Guru and handed over their son as Guru Dakshina. Both of them asked the Guru that what else do you want in Guru Dakshina, then the Guru blessed them and said that both of you have performed the duty of disciple well.
You will be famous in the whole universe and sage Sandipani gave the title of Jagatguru to Shri Krishna.
