वैष्णो देवी मंदिर, जम्मू और कश्मीर
वैष्णो देवी का विश्व प्रसिद्ध और प्राचीन मंदिर भारतीय राज्य जम्मू और कश्मीर के जम्मू क्षेत्र में कटरा नगर के समीप की पहाड़ियों पर स्थित है। इन पहाड़ियों को त्रिकुटा पहाड़ी कहते हैं। यहीं पर लगभग 5,200 फीट की ऊंचाई पर स्थित है मातारानी का मंदिर। यह भारत में तिरूमला वेंकटेश्वर मंदिर के बाद दूसरा सर्वाधिक देखा जाने वाला धार्मिक तीर्थ स्थल है।
मंदिर परिचय : त्रिकुटा की पहाड़ियों पर स्थित एक गुफा में माता वैष्णो देवी की स्वयंभू तीन मूर्तियां हैं। देवी काली (दाएं), सरस्वती (बाएं) और लक्ष्मी (मध्य), पिण्डी के रूप में गुफा में विराजित हैं। इन तीनों पिण्डियों के सम्मिलित रूप को वैष्णो देवी माता कहा जाता है। इस स्थान को माता का भवन कहा जाता है। पवित्र गुफा की लंबाई 98 फीट है। इस गुफा में एक बड़ा चबूतरा बना हुआ है। इस चबूतरे पर माता का आसन है जहां देवी त्रिकुटा अपनी माताओं के साथ विराजमान रहती हैं।

भवन वह स्थान है जहां माता ने भैरवनाथ का वध किया था। प्राचीन गुफा के समक्ष भैरो का शरीर मौजूद है और उसका सिर उड़कर तीन किलोमीटर दूर भैरो घाटी में चला गया और शरीर यहां रह गया। जिस स्थान पर सिर गिरा, आज उस स्थान को 'भैरोनाथ के मंदिर' के नाम से जाना जाता है। कटरा से ही वैष्णो देवी की पैदल चढ़ाई शुरू होती है जो भवन तक करीब 13 किलोमीटर और भैरो मंदिर तक 14.5 किलोमीटर है।
मंदिर की पौराणिक कथा : मंदिर के संबंध में कई तरह की कथाएं प्रचलित हैं। एक बार त्रिकुटा की पहाड़ी पर एक सुंदर कन्या को देखकर भैरवनाथ उससे पकड़ने के लिए दौड़े। तब वह कन्या वायु रूप में बदलकर त्रिकूटा पर्वत की ओर उड़ चलीं। भैरवनाथ भी उनके पीछे भागे। माना जाता है कि तभी मां की रक्षा के लिए वहां पवनपुत्र हनुमान पहुंच गए। हनुमानजी को प्यास लगने पर माता ने उनके आग्रह पर धनुष से पहाड़ पर बाण चलाकर एक जलधारा निकाली और उस जल में अपने केश धोए। फिर वहीं एक गुफा में गुफा में प्रवेश कर माता ने नौ माह तक तपस्या की। हनुमानजी ने पहरा दिया।

फिर भैरव नाथ वहां आ धमके। उस दौरान एक साधु ने भैरवनाथ से कहा कि तू जिसे एक कन्या समझ रहा है, वह आदिशक्ति जगदम्बा है, इसलिए उस महाशक्ति का पीछा छोड़ दे। भैरवनाथ ने साधु की बात नहीं मानी। तब माता गुफा की दूसरी ओर से मार्ग बनाकर बाहर निकल गईं। यह गुफा आज भी अर्द्धकुमारी या आदिकुमारी या गर्भजून के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है। अर्द्धकुमारी के पहले माता की चरण पादुका भी है। यह वह स्थान है, जहां माता ने भागते-भागते मुड़कर भैरवनाथ को देखा था।
पंचमुखी हनुमान मंदिर रामेश्वरम
अंत में गुफा से बाहर निकल कर कन्या ने देवी का रूप धारण किया और भैरवनाथ वापस जाने का कह कर फिर से गुफा में चली गईं, लेकिन भैरवनाथ नहीं माना और गुफा में प्रवेश करने लगा। यह देखकर माता की गुफा कर पहरा दे रहे हनुमानजी ने उसे युद्ध के लिए ललकार और दोनों का युद्ध हुआ। युद्ध का कोई अंत नहीं देखकर माता वैष्णवी ने महाकाली का रूप लेकर भैरवनाथ का वध कर दिया।
हनुमानगढ़ी मंदिर अयोध्या
कहा जाता है कि अपने वध के बाद भैरवनाथ को अपनी भूल का पश्चाताप हुआ और उसने मां से क्षमादान की भीख मांगी। माता वैष्णो देवी जानती थीं कि उन पर हमला करने के पीछे भैरव की प्रमुख मंशा मोक्ष प्राप्त करने की थी। तब उन्होंने न केवल भैरव को पुनर्जन्म के चक्र से मुक्ति प्रदान की, बल्कि उसे वरदान देते हुए कहा कि मेरे दर्शन तब तक पूरे नहीं माने जाएंगे, जब तक कोई भक्त, मेरे बाद तुम्हारे दर्शन नहीं करेगा।
Vaishno Devi Mandir, Jammu and Kahsmir
The world famous and ancient temple of Vaishno Devi is situated on the hills near Katra town in the Jammu region of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. These hills are called Trikuta Hills. The temple of Matarani is located here at an altitude of about 5,200 feet. It is the second most visited religious pilgrimage site in India after the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple.

Temple Introduction: There are three self-manifested idols of Mata Vaishno Devi in a cave situated on the hills of Trikuta. The goddesses Kali (right), Saraswati (left) and Lakshmi (centre) are enshrined in the form of pindis in the cave. The combined form of these three bodies is called Vaishno Devi Mata. This place is called Mother's house. The length of the holy cave is 98 feet. There is a big platform built in this cave. Mata's seat is on this platform where Goddess Trikuta sits with her mothers.
Bhagwan Shree Ram Ji Ke 9 Sabse Prasiddh Mandir
The building is the place where Mata killed Bhairavnath. Bhairo's body is present in front of the ancient cave and his head flew away to the Bhairo valley three kilometers away and the body remained here. The place where the head fell, today that place is known as 'Bhaironath's Temple'. The trek to Vaishno Devi begins from Katra itself, which is about 13 kms to Bhawan and 14.5 kms to Bhairon Temple.
Mythology of the temple: Many types of stories are prevalent in relation to the temple. Once upon seeing a beautiful girl on the hill of Trikuta, Bhairavnath ran to catch her. Then she changed into the form of a girl wind and flew towards Trikuta mountain. Bhairavnath also ran after him. It is believed that only then Pawanputra Hanuman reached there to protect the mother. When Hanumanji felt thirsty, on his request, the mother took out a water stream by shooting an arrow from the bow on the mountain and washed her hair in that water. Then the mother did penance for nine months by entering a cave there. Hanumanji guarded.
Hanuman Ji Ke 10 Sabse Prasiddh Mandir
Then Bhairav Nath came there. During that time, a monk told Bhairavnath that the one whom you are considering as a girl is Adishakti Jagdamba, so leave the pursuit of that superpower. Bhairavnath did not listen to the monk. Then the mother made a way out from the other side of the cave. This cave is still famous by the name of Ardhkumari or Adikumari or Garbhjoon. There is also the foot paduka of the mother before the Ardhkumari. This is the place where the mother turned to see Bhairavnath while running away.
Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple Rameshwaram
Finally, after coming out of the cave, the girl assumed the form of a goddess and went back to the cave asking Bhairavnath to return, but Bhairavnath did not agree and started entering the cave. Seeing this, Hanumanji, who was guarding the mother's cave, challenged her to fight and both of them fought. Seeing no end to the war, Mata Vaishnavi took the form of Mahakali and killed Bhairavnath.
Hanuman Garhi Temple Ayodhya
It is said that after his execution, Bhairavnath repented of his mistake and begged for forgiveness from his mother. Mata Vaishno Devi knew that Bhairav's main intention behind attacking her was to attain salvation. Then he not only freed Bhairav from the cycle of rebirth, but also gave him a boon saying that my darshan would not be considered complete until a devotee would see you after me.
